Walsall regeneration creating a 'buoyant' letting market

25-May-2007

In news which may be of interest to first time buyers looking to enter the letting market, a period of regeneration in Walsall is creating a "buoyant" market for landlords, it has been claimed.

According to Stuart Stringer from Edwards Moore Estate Agents, within the old areas of Walsall, a large number of two-bedroom apartments are currently under construction, which may be of interest to first time home buyers.

"The lettings market seems to be a lot more buoyant than the property market at the minute. It's definitely moving along fairly steadily," said Mr Stringer.

"Apartments are the biggest thing we're seeing built. Walsall's having a lot of apartments built … They're regenerating a lot of the old part of Walsall," he added.

Indeed, within the borough, Aldridge was identified as a popular location and identified as a good commuter location for Birmingham.

Edwards Moore Estate Agents was established in 1991.
