Unique Legal Help for First Time Buyers

07-Apr-2008

The UK's leading online conveyancers has launched a special deal to champion first time buyers.

Any first time buyer registering themselves on the Convex.net site will get a £175 discount on their final conveyancing bills.

And Convex.net is also highlighting a unique insurance which could be a financial life line for hard pressed first timers. They are the first major initiatives by a large conveyancer designed specifically for first time buyers.

Under the insurance scheme the buyer only pay £95 up front. If the deal then falls through because the seller pulls out all legal fees AND survey fees are covered. This could save a buyer more than £1,500.

Duncan Samuel, managing director of Convex.net, said that first time buyers were the foundation of the housing market and deserved the best deals.

"Mortgage companies often have special deals for first time buyers so there is no reason why the legal profession should not come into the modern age.

"The non completion insurance really is the ultimate safeguard for any buyer, and particularly a first time buyer who has often saved up for years simply to finance the house buying process of legal and survey fees.

"What we have come up with is a scheme where they are only risking £95 of their money. If it falls through the insurance means they still have the money in place to go for another purchase.

"In most cases the sale will proceed and then they can take advantage of our £175 discount when they come directly to us. It really does champion the first time buyer," he said.

Convex.net is the only online conveyancing company in the UK that allows buyers to view every document relating to a sale 24/7 via a secure website. Buyers are constantly kept up to date through emails and texts at every stage and Convex uses its own legal team rather than a panel of solicitors offered by other online conveyancers. www.convex.net
