UK property buyers becoming 'more adventurous' down under

30-Mar-2007

Britons looking to purchase property in Australia - which may include would-be first time home buyers looking to invest abroad - are becoming more adventurous in their choice of locations, an expert has claimed.

According to BuyAssociation, although the usual hotspots such as Melbourne and Sydney are persistently popular, buyers are looking to other locations such as the Gold Coast and Perth, which may interest would-be first time buyers looking to buy overseas.

"Sydney and Melbourne are still very popular," said Paul Collins, overseas property editor for the BuyAssocation.

"Sydney has almost seen the worst of the market correction and has seen some price drops recently," he added.

BuyAssociation offers advice on overseas properties through a number of mediums, including radio shows and podcasts.

Indeed, radio shows have been produced on a number of countries, including Italy and Greece.
