UCB Home Loans launches new carbon footprint reduction guide

10-Apr-2007

UCB Home Loans, the specialist lending division of Nationwide Building Society, has announced the launch of a new carbon footprint guide which may be of interest to would-be first time home buyers looking to reduce their environmental impact.

Dubbed You and Your Carbon Footprint, the new booklet is available to download from the lender's website as a pdf file and contains information on a number of areas, including tips on insulation, water consumption and recycling, which may interest recent first time buyers and repeat purchasers alike.

"The booklet is designed to help people take small steps that, collectively, can make a big difference to the environment," said Keith Astill, managing director of UCB Home Loans.

"The recent draft Climate Change Bill … places a big responsibility on both industry and householders to take action," he added.

Although the publication is predominantly available online, limited printed quantities are also available.
