Roadshow aiming to boost first time confidence

15-Mar-2005

First time buyers in Dorset are to receive a helping hand when looking for their first home thanks to a new roadshow touring the region.

Those looking to get a foot on the property ladder will be provided with information by the touring group on affordable housing and the best ways to obtain their first property.

The first of three events will be taking place in Swanage this weekend, at the Mowlem Theatre, with first time buyers invited to go along to get all the information they need to purchase their first home.

It is part of a wider campaign within the housing industry to boost the number of first time buyers entering the market, and if the roadshow proves successful it could be extended to other areas across the UK.

Housing costs across the country continue to remain high, making it difficult for first time buyers to get started on the property ladder, but those taking part in the Swanage events are confident that their expertise will help to engender more interest in the market among those entering it for the first time.
