Redrow to expand affordable housing

House building firm Redrow has announced plans to bring its range of affordable housing to Yorkshire.

The scheme aims to help younger and aspiring homeowners to get a foot on the first rung of the property ladder and recognises the importance of these people to a successful market.

"Yorkshire is a place where we can grow our business, " Redrow chief executive, Neil Fitzsimmons, told the Yorkshire Post.
"Debut is a great opportunity for young people and key workers to buy good quality, affordable homes."
Redrow is currently in talks with local authorities in the area and hopes to gain the support of the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, in order to acquire the right land and begin construction.
