RBS group announces new credit card deals

21-May-2007

In news which may be of interest to first time home buyers looking to maximise their financial resources, the Royal Bank of Scotland group (RBS) has announced a number of new credit card deals.

Credit cards from both RBS and NatWest now offer a variable rate APR reduction of up to three per cent, in addition to a zero per cent rate on balance transfers for 13 months, which may interest first time home buyers looking to minimise their exposure to interest payments.

"The new offers make the [RBS's] credit cards some of the most competitive deals on the current market," said RBS.

"All cards offer up to 56 days interest-free on purchases with online account management available," the company added.

Indeed, for Mint customers, the card is now available with a zero per cent balance transfer rate until August 1st 2008 for new customers.

In addition to credit cards, Mint also offers car and home insurance products.
