Pocket announces details of third housing consent

16-May-2007

Pocket has announced details of its third affordable housing consent, which may interest first time home buyers looking for a low-cost property.

Constructed in Hounslow, the new development consists of 19 one-bedroom apartments to be sold at a minimum discount of 20 per cent to those on "low to moderate incomes", some of whom may be first time home buyers.

"We build on the smaller infill sites around London, delivering 100 per cent affordable housing on plots that might otherwise end up with none," said Pocket.

"Pocket's housing meets the mayor of London's definition of affordable housing," the company added.

However, the development is below the formal threshold for affordable housing and has been created purely from resources within the private sector.

Affordable housing consent for the development was granted on March 20th 2007.
