New study illustrates possible effects of astrology on financial health

06-Mar-2007

In news which may be of interest to prospective first time buyers looking to buy a home with their partner, a person's star sign may affect their relationship with money and debt, a new survey has revealed.

According to the results of a study by CreditExpert, a person's star sign can be important as the survey found that one-in-six people born under Cancer lie to their partners about debt or spending habits, which could concern some prospective first time buyers looking to invest with a spouse or friend.

Indeed, 12 per cent of those born under Scorpio break-up with their partner as a direct result of money worries, the research states.

"Regardless of whether you take astrology seriously, the survey shows that there are a lot of people with great concerns about their spending and borrowing," said Jim Hodgkins, managing director of CreditExpert.

The study of over 1,700 people was conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of CreditExpert.

CreditExpert is an online service by Experian, a credit reference agency.
