New development 'ideal for first time buyers'

14-Aug-2007

First time buyers have been offered the chance to try before they buy courtesy of a range of new homes from developers Redrow.

The Burton-on-Trent development will have its homes 'road tested' via a show home that coincides with the launch of a new marketing initiative.

Redrow has said that its sales consultants will be on hand to offer advice about buying a property, while homes in the development will have prices from just £59,999.

"Many first time buyers are forced to buy poor quality, rundown housing in unattractive areas and then have to spend all of their spare time and money making it habitable," commented Redrow Midlands area sales manager Julie Chapman.

With [the Debut development] they are getting a brand, spanking, new home - with nothing to do - so they can just move in, make it their own and enjoy life to the full," Ms Chapman added.

The news comes as both the Council of Mortgage Lenders and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors report that fewer first time buyers were looking to purchase a property in June and July respectively.
