New council tax payment options for West Wiltshire residents

23-Feb-2007

Prospective first time buyers in Wiltshire may be interested to know that West Wiltshire District Council is partnering with Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank to provide additional locations for the payment of council tax.

Under the new scheme, anyone - including potential first time buyers - who currently uses a book to pay their council tax over the counter will receive a card, thereby increasing the number of potential locations where payments can be made.

"With people leading increasingly busy lives, we a re committed to offering our customers a choice of payment options and this new agreement will enhance our current service considerably," said councillor Sarah Content.

The new payment cards will be available for use in a number of outlets bearing the payzone sign - in addition to the Post Office - including newsagents and petrol stations.

Alliance & Leicester offers a range of commercial banking products and services to customers that include start-up companies and corporate clients.
