09-Jan-2007

The Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (N&P) has launched a new range of mortgages for first time buyers and repeat purchasers looking to repair their credit rating.

Available in both fixed-rate and tracker formats, offers a wide selection of mortgages that are available depending upon the previous credit history of the purchaser, which may be suitable for first time buyers who have previously had previous financial difficulties.

Individual circumstances will be fully considered and customers facing large debts, bankruptcy, in addition to those with recent county court judgements may still find that a mortgage is available that meets their needs.

"Credit impaired mortgages are a growing market," said Richard Barker, product manager for (N&P).

"Whilst we are careful about lending in what is a higher risk area of mortgage business, this type of lending has become commonplace," he added.

N&P also offers mortgage for first time buyers, offering a cashback of £1,500.
