Manchester first time buyers 'should' consider city centre apartments

16-Mar-2007

Prospective first time buyers in Manchester should "check out" the potential of city centre living, an expert has claimed.

According to a negotiator at Pad Residential, although locations in the heart of the city centre may be out of a first time buyer's price range, there are city centre studio apartments that may be both appropriate and affordable.

"There are lots of studio apartments which are quite good for first time buyers. I would say the studios," said the negotiator from Pad Residential.

"The developments are quite mixed - you have great big penthouses on top but also little studios as well," the negotiator added.

However the Deansgate area of the city centre may be out of the price range of first time buyers as - on average - a two-bedroom apartment now costs £350,000.

Pad Residential offers Manchester city centre apartments for both rent and sale.
