13-May-2008

The other factor to consider is quality of life - moving closer into London, while cutting down on the commute, can mean busy streets, crowded venues and fewer places to quietly spend your leisure time and completely "switch off".

However, award-winning property developer Weston Homes thinks it may have the answer to the problem. In order to offer a new option to customers facing this choice of quality of life versus cost of travel, the developer is giving to each buyer at its Archers Place development in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire a first class yearly return season ticket to London's Liverpool Street station, worth £4,800*, and at its New Mercia development in Hitchin, Hertfordshire an annual rail ticket between Hitchin and London King's Cross, Moorgate or Finsbury Park train stations, equivalent to £3,000 per year.*

Gareth Jacob, Sales and Marketing Director for Weston Homes, comments: "At Weston Homes, we have always believed that property buyers, especially first-time buyers, look for incentives from developers that offer practical solutions to the problems they face during the purchasing process. This offer is designed to take away one of the major headaches of buying in London and the South East - achieving the balance between quality of life and minimising commuting costs.

With this offer, Archers Place and New Mercia provide the best of a relaxed, much more intimate small town lifestyle, with the ease and convenience of a high quality commuter service into London - without the cost."
