Housing association keeps affordable homes promise

A housing association in the Midlands has announced that it is to continue to provide more affordable homes for first-time buyers.

Tony Taylor, chief executive of the Midlands-based company, commented that the organisation would continue its commitment to drive up standards in its 5,000 affordable homes.

He continued that he was "delighted" that all of its rented homes across the Midlands had met the standards "well ahead of time".
However, he went on to say that the organisation would not be complacent and would continue its commitment to the long-tem maintenance of the homes.
"In 2005 alone, hundreds of homes were upgraded with modern kitchens, energy efficient boilers and new electrical wiring," Mr Taylor told the website.
Waterloo Housing Association is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1971 to provide affordable housing and new homes for first-time buyers and those in need.
