Homeowners support affordable housing sites

As the need for more affordable housing across the UK grows stronger, increasing numbers of housebuilders are providing low cost housing options on previously disused land.
Click here for our first time buyers guide to buying a propertyUsing wasted land for this purpose is seen as a good thing by majority of homeowners, revealed a new survey by the National Housing Federation (NHF), who believe that first time buyers should be given more support.
The survey found that two thirds of people were in favour of the continued development of affordable housing and that they thought prices should be kept low for those who cannot otherwise afford to get on the first rung of the property ladder.

Housebuilders across the country, such as Redrow, have focused on the need for affordable housing and extended schemes to encourage first time buyers and prevent them from being priced out of the market.
