The £12 million project will create 114 new houses which will be available for first time buyers struggling to get onto the property ladder to buy through a shared ownership basis with developers Black Country Housing (BCH).

Through the shared ownership scheme, the Council is confident that it will be able to bring more first time buyers into the market once the development is completed, with current estimations predicting the scheme will be ready in two years.
While that will be a long time to wait for many aspiring first time buyers, the scheme represents the fact that first time buyers are now being acknowledged as an important target group when building projects are undertaken.
