Govt building to provide key worker housing

A former government building has been converted into a range of affordable apartments for those living in Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham.
The £20 million refurbishment scheme is expected to provide 104 contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments for first-time buyers, reports the website 24dash.
Approximately 100 of the 164 new homes will be for key worker priority shared ownership. The remainder will have low-cost rent or social rent.

Heidi Wolfenden, a 27-year-old who works for the NHS, has reserved a one-bedroom flat after hearing about the scheme.
"Not being able to afford my own place was becoming very frustrating, but then I found out about shared ownership opportunities at The Square.
"I was really attracted to the location and the look of it - it's a lovely building," she told the website.
