See what’s in our unique, comprehensive and detailed joint ownership guideThe report was released by the Golden Triangle Partnership, set up by the city councils of Leeds, Harrogate and York, and tackles concerns over rising house prices and a lack of affordable housing.

"On average first time buyers now have to pay more than four times their salary to buy a property. In the Golden Triangle the figure is even higher due to disparities between incomes and house prices," Ms Mills explained.
"This report is the first step towards developing a more integrated approach to the negotiation and delivery of affordable housing across our high-value areas."
Plans to train local authority staff to negotiate with private sector development groups have also been suggested, along with speeding up legal processes and creating a shared database.
