In news which may be of interest to first time home buyers, a property developer is offering a number of home buying cost reductions for a payment of £1.

George Wimpey East Midlands has announced that first time home buyers opting for a new home at a development in Northamptonshire can benefit from the payment of a five per cent deposit, in addition to the return of all costs and legal fees for £1, reports Easier.

"If you are looking for a new home or a property investment in the UK, we have a huge selection of new property for sale and ready for you to view," said George Wimpey.

"We build a range of homes from one bedroom apartments and starter homes to large detached family homes for every taste and budget," the company added.

Furthermore, under the terms of the offer, the property developer has also confirmed that buyers will be provided with financial advice, in addition to having a mortgage arranged for the property.

At the Appleton Gate housing development property prices start from £125,995.
