First-time buyer 'bonus' offered at Swindon development

04-Jul-2008

First-time buyers are being urged to "move quickly" to snap up the last of a selection of affordable apartments in Swindon.

According to the developers responsible for The Nurseries in Priory Vale, the homes represent "a bonus" for first-time buyers in that they combine a picturesque setting with expert building techniques.

"First-time buyers have the advantage of receiving five per cent of their deposit, making the property even more affordable," a spokesperson for Bloor Homes told Easier Property.

"The accommodation comprises a spacious open plan kitchen and living/dining room and two double bedrooms, a bonus for first-time buyers," he added, pointing out that the master bedroom in the property has an en-suite in addition to the main bathroom.

A number of recent property deals to spring up across the UK have sought to address first-time buyer affordability difficulties, with one Cheshire selection developed by Redrow aimed specifically at people who lack adequate funds for a deposit.

One of the developer's two-bedroom apartments at The Sidings costs £115,000 but can be purchased for £86,250, with the outstanding balance paid over the next ten years.
