Estate agent targets social housing

A Norfolk estate agent has revealed that it is to concentrate its efforts solely on the social housing sector, believing it will become an important market in the future.

The broad term of social housing also encompasses key worker schemes and shared ownership programmes and the company has so far sold over 100 houses, despite only having been operating for the past 18 months at a time when the property market has seen something of a slump.
"We were the first into the market and have developed systems and procedures for marketing these homes," head of marketing and business development at Howards, Martin Cunningham, told the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press.
