Edinburgh's key workers given affordable housing help
19-Aug-2005
Edinburgh University is looking to bring in more teachers and lecturers to the Scottish capital, by offering them new affordable homes.
Aspiring first time buyers looking to get a foot on the property ladder can often be priced out of the market in big cities such as Edinburgh, but the new programme unveiled by the university will look to change that by offering teachers affordable homes.

And the university has revealed that the affordable homes will be available to anyone earning between £19,700 and £25,000 and working in the public sector - not just teachers and lecturers.
