15-Mar-2007

Britannia Building Society has announced the launch of a new range of three and five-year fixed-rate mortgage products, which may be of interest to prospective first time buyers.

Available from March 16th, the new fixed-rate range offers three-year deals with interest rates between 5.34 per cent and 5.69 per cent, which may offer peace of mind to buyers - such as first time buyers - concerned about the possibility of further interest rate rises.

"These deals offer excellent value over the short and medium term and borrowers have more choice about the rates they want to pay," said Tim Franklin, managing director of member business.

Britannia's new range of five-year fixed-rates offer interest rates that start at 5.24 per cent, with the highest rate of interest set at 5.49 per cent.

In addition to mortgages, Britannia offers a range of products and services, including credit cards and loans.
