Alliance & Leicester helps first-time buyers

Alliance & Leicester (A&L) has won the Best First Time Buyer Lender award from Mortgage Magazine.

The bank offers first-time buyers a range of mortgage products and Alliance & Leicester has welcomed the award.

He added that the bank had worked hard to help first-time buyers by campaigning for them to be made exempt from paying stamp duty and has also launched a First Step mortgage to help cover the cost of stamp duty.
