Alliance & Leicester launches new mortgage range

Alliance & Leicester has announced the launch of two new fixed-rate mortgages, which may be suitable for first time buyers.

Available to both repeat purchasers and first time buyers, both products are available with a loan-to-value up to 95 per cent and interest rates of 4.84 per cent and 4.99 per cent.

Both loans are available up to £250,000.

"Our fixed-rate mortgages continue to offer real value for money with a choice of deals available below five per cent, which is idea for those borrowers who want budgetary certainty from their monthly payments," said Stephen Leonard, director of mortgages at Alliance & Leicester.

Although both fixed-rate products carry an early redemption fee of three per cent until December 31st 2008, both allow overpayments up to ten per cent of the outstanding capital.

Alliance & Leicester offers a range of fixed-rate mortgage options, with interest rates between 4.74 per cent and 5.59 per cent.
