Abbey extends exclusive range

18-Aug-2008

Abbey for Intermediaries (AfI) has extended its exclusive range, despite a decline in the number of mortgage products available.

Its exclusive product range has been extended to include the Countrywide network, making the total number of intermediary accounts with Abbey to 12.

A minimum 75 per cent of mortgage intermediaries have access to at least one of the mortgage products offered by the bank.

Intermediary partners who receive exclusives - as of August 12th - include Network Data and Legal and General.

Key accounts director at AfI Adrian Whittaker remarks: "We promised intermediaries we would build our exclusives range to provide them with the products they needed to weather the market and that is exactly what we are doing."

The mortgage exclusives range was re-established by AfI in May, since when a new product has been introduced each month.

Earlier this month, Abbey announced reductions in its two, three and five year remortgage deals of up to 0.3 per cent.
